Paella
Ingredients- 1kg of paella yellow rice and seafood dinner
- Summer sausage or pepperoni
How to prepare
- Prepare the paella according to the package directions
- Add the sausage or pepperoni
WARNING:This is spicy so you may need to try it before you take to camp.
Chinese Noodles
Ingredients- ½ pkg egg noodles cooked
- 1 lb ground beef, browned
- 1 green pepper
- 1 tin mushrooms
- ½ onion, chopped
- 2 pkg. brown gravy mix & water
- ½ cup of soy sauce
How to prepare
- Sauté green pepper, mushrooms and onion
- Combine ingredients in a pot and heat for 10 mins
Hamburger Foil Dinner
Ingredients- 2 1/2 lbs. Hamburger, shaped into patties
- 4 small onions, sliced
- 5 potatoes, sliced thin
- 10 pieces of Aluminum Foil
- You can add a can of drained corn or vegetables you like
How to prepare
- In foil - In hot coals or in oven
- Place 1 hamburger patty to each square of foil
- Add salt and pepper to taste
- Layer; onion, potatoes and corn on top of each patty
- Wrap the package tightly
- on hot coals for 8 to 10 minutes per side OR in hot coals for 20 minutes
Stew
Ingredients- 1 1/2 lb stew beef (or cut-up steak)
- 1 bag baby carrots
- 4 medium potatoes
- 1 white onion
- water
- 4 celery stalks
- 3 beef boullion cubes
- 2 packs brown gravy mix
- salt & pepper
How to prepare
- Lightly brown meat in a pan, or in the bottom of you stew pot, until it's about medium rare
- Chop up potatoes, carrots, onion, and celery and throw it all in the pot
- Fill with water until it's about a half inch over the ingredients
- Add both packs of brown gravy mix and your boullion cubes
- Mix it all up real good, bring it to a boil, and let simmer for about 30 minutes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Tuna & Macaroni
Ingredients- 1 box of Macaroni and Cheese
- 1 can of tuna, drained
- salt and pepper to taste
How to Prepare
- Oil the amount of water indicated on the macaroni box in a pot
- Add pasta and cook until tender
- Add cheese packet, tuna, and salt and pepper
- Stir. You could also add celery or onion, if desired
Pasta Salad
Ingredients- 1 box spiral noodles (prepared)
- 1 can carrots
- 1 can corn
- 1 can greenbeans
- 1 can sliced black olives
- 1 bottle italian dressing
How to prepare
- Mix all ingredients in baggie and shake
Note:If you prepare a day before use it will taste much better.
Pasta Hot Dogs
Ingredients- 1KG of Pasta
- 2 tins of hot dogs
- 1 big jar of pasta sauce
How to prepare
- Boil pasta
- Cut up all hot dogs
- When pasta is cooked drain water from pan add pasta sauce and hot dogs
- Cook altogether until sauce and hot dogs are hot or warm.
Beans on toast
Ingredients- 1 tin of baked beans
- 2-4 slices of bread
- butter or margarine
- brown sauce
How to prepare
- Toast bread evenly until golden brown on both sides
- Bring beans to a simmer in saucepan
- Spread butter onto toast. Pour beans onto toast
Extras:Add lashings of brown sauce.
Lazy Fish
Ingredients- 1 tin of smoked salmon
- 1 carrot
- 1 small tin of corn
- 1 cup of 6 minute rice
- 1 garlic clove
- Dehydrated green beans
- Half a cup of water
- Salt & pepper
How to prepare
- In large pot boil water
- Add rice and return to the boil
- Reduce heat and simmer with lid slightly open
- Chop garlic finely and add to rice with a small amount of pepper
- Slice carrot in very thin strips
- In small pot - prepare carrot beans and salt according to instructions on bean packet
- Remove rice from heat. Add veg pot to heat, bring to boil then remove and cover with lid
- Alternate veg and rice with heat for about 6 minutes
- Open Salmon tin and drain a small amount of liquid to avoid overflowing
- Apply to small flame for a short period of time allowing them to warm
- When rice is soft remove from heat, strain and fluff with fork
- Add corn to veg pot and return to boil
- Drain liquid and share into pots or plates
Sweet and sour ham
Ingredients- Thick slices of ham
- Dijon mustard
- whole cloves
- Sliced bell peppers
- pineapple rings
- Sweet and Sour Sauce (bottled from your grocer's shelf)
How to prepare
- Layer all ingredients into oven in order given
- Bake about 30 minutes with about 6 briquets of charcoal underneath and about minuites 15 on top of oven
